Agape

Want to Be part of Something Good?

If the answer is YES, then please consider visiting - and hopefully joining - our Agape' Bible Study Class!  We meet every Sunday morning at 10:20am at First Baptist Church, Marble Falls.  We always learn something new from the Bible, God's instruction book for successful living.

When you arrive, just ask anyone where the Agape' Class meets.  We're in the Fellowship Hall.

Before the class begins, please attend the Traditional Worship Service at 9:00am.  You will be blessed and encouraged by the music and our Pastor's presentation of God's Word.

Enjoy Fellowship?

"No man is an island, entire of itself," said the poet John Donne.  It's true - we all need each other!  So don't try existing as an island; rather, enjoy the fellowship of a group who will love you and care for you and be there to help you when you need it most.

We welcome and enjoy people of all ages and backgrounds.

Enjoy Stimulating Discussion?

We enjoy open discussion in our class, led by our teacher and discussion leader.  The discussion is made richer by active participation from everyone in the class.  All questions and thought are welcome.  We're all learners!

The foundation for all discussion is God's Holy Word, the Bible, as understood and taught by our Baptist faith.  Two Scriptures upon which our Bible Study Class is built are:

  • John 12:21b - "Sir, we would like to see Jesus."
  • 2 Timothy 2:15 - "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth."

Meet Our Teacher

David Andrews "grew up" in Immanuel Baptist Church in El Dorado, Arkansas.  He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior, and was baptized May 16, 1954, at the age of 8 1/2.

In 1999, David retired from Shell Oil/Chemical Company after a 32-year career as a chemical engineer.  His life's desire has been to be "a man after God's own heart", like David of old.  David and his wife of 45 years, Paula, have two grown sons and three grandchildren.
